I know I'm only postponing the inevitable, but I walked into Petco and saw a skinny little Scooter for $10. So I picked him up. I got some krill, mysis, and have some cyclo-peeze. He took to the frozen mysis almost immediately. But that was in the bag when he didn't have many other options.

My over all goal with this fish is to keep him alive until the 90 is up and running. Hopefully it doesn't take long.

Alright, I'm ready for everyone's grief. xP

It sounds like you're trying to save the poor little guy. Do you have access to or have some live pods for it to eat? I would watch it and see if it will eat the frozen in the tank. Maybe I'm wrong but I think the biggest issue with scooters is getting them to eat and having enough live food available for them not the size of the tank. If it will eat frozen then I think you may be able to save him.

Well I have a large copepod, and amphipod population. He's been picking at the sand all day.

I am trying to save him! He's very skinny, so we can only hope for the best.

I'm told dragonettes can wipe out pop populations in days. Hopefully not too fast!

You will most likely need to keep dosing more pods. And seed your 90g with pods very early. Maybe make a pod pile of rock and rubble etc in your current tank so the pods can have a safe haven there to multiple without being devoured.

Currently, there's a the equivalent of a gallons worth of chaeto in my overflow. I can see them crawling around. So I have that, at least. The downside to this is, I have a ton of uneaten krill and mysis in my tank now.
