A buddy who broke down his office tank shipped me some "left over" stuff for free. He had it running for under a year. I just got the box. It had:

    Iwaki md100rlt
A small 1/8hp Little Giant I'm not sure of the model
    1/2 gal. of Kent iodine
A twin 400 watt MH ballast box.

    ;D What a nice guy. ;D

    Lets see:

I already use a MD100rlt to power my skimmer. I don't know how old it is. It was already used, beat and old when I got it. Easily a decade +. I know Iwaki's are a rock, but it has to fail eventually. I'll keep it as a backup. It can also act as a backup for the Dolphin 2700 return pump on my 210.

I dose Iodine, so that will be used. I don't have any current use for the small return pump. It gets added to the growing collection. That makes 4 external pumps from 1/8hp to 2hp not currently being used sitting in the basement.

I'm thinking about upgrading the lights on the 300. Currently I have 1x400mh in the middle and 2x250mh on the ends. If I can fit a 400w bulb in the current reflector I'll go with 3x400. I know doodoo about mh bulbs. The 250s use double ended bulbs. I'll have to see if 400w bulbs can fit in the same socket. Do you happen to know? That still leaves me with 2x250 transformers. I may buy a cheapo retro reflector and bulb and use one or both of the 250s for the propogation section of my sump. I just have PCs on it now. Alternatively, I may start up a 100 rubbermaid look down tank in the basement and use the lights for that. In other words, I'm all over the place. :)
