Ok some guy brought in his 400 watt x 2 ballast and sockets to the LFS where I work and said that they were too noisy for his tank and just gave them too my boss. Well guess what. I have been bugging him about it for about 5 months and finally convinced him to let me have time. I'M GONNA LIGHT THIS TANK UP!!!!!!!!!!!!

800w of MH over a 150 might be a bit much just make sure you have anything that is fragile lower in the tank

me too but the same boss wants me to grow corals from him. I'll probably be able to score atleast one of everything ORA has for this. I have put all of my lps in shaded areas to hopefully be able to keep them alive.

If the light is too much, you could try to raise the height from the tank the light sits. Just a thought. Good score though! Too nice to pass up!

i would put some kinda of screen on the tank at first to filter out light and let the corals adjust
