I just bought an Instant Ocean Hydrometer from ebay. It only cost $2 + $2.50 shipping, so for $4.50 I’m getting a brand new Hydrometer. ;D

I got a 55g tank from a friend for $65. I originally thought this was a good deal(most stores I've seen charge a lot)...until I went to Jack's Aquarium and Pets and saw a 55g for $55. Also, I didn't realize until I got the used one that it was going to be COVERED in algae. uugghhh.. :(

I've got it mostly clean with distilled white vinegar (I think I used 1/3 cup vinegar to 1 gallon water). But there's still dried algae on the silicone seals. I think I'm going to re-seal the tank.
