Scott Air Force Base Air Show

Last weekend Scott AFB had their annual air show. Last year was the first time I went, and was definately going to go this year as the Blue Angels were going to be performing. We had a great time (with the exception of Curt becoming a Red Lobster!) and am woring on the pictures....havent really got the jist of my new camera!




this is a Vietnam plane and F18, they did a Heritage Flight with these two planes together


they did a display called Tora Tora, where the had 7 Japanese planes and reinacted Pearl Harbor...they had explosions off the runway that was lie bombs going off


this is Fat Albert, he is the carrier plane for the Blue Angels. They did a little display before the Blue Angels came on

I just flew on Fat Albert... the blue angels c-130

 

accually its an f-16. i miss those days. i was a weapons troop on the f-16. if i had only stayed in.

I am horrible at remembering what was what....even with the program that we got! LOL
that is awesome! Did you fly in Iraq? I got sic just watching them, would be barfing the whole time up there!

i do love me some air shows mostly the raw power these planes have

 

I believe that's a Boeing c-17. C-130's are quad engine turboprops - Fat Albert is the c-130

 

no, i was in kuwait. accually i was just about everywhere but iraq. my squadron actually started the bombing campain "desert fox" in 98. that was wild. i didnt fly just a ground troop that loaded bombs on the f-16. load toad is what we were called. that was one kick ass job. wouldn't tade my experiences for nothing. i accually got to fly the f-16 in las vegas as an incentive flight.
