    And I go all CC.

Why do you need sand again?

    Nice build btw- $$

I know what 'check valves' are, and what they do. Why would you need any on a properly built system though?
So you can siphon down the the DT into the sump on a system that actually relies on them to work, when they fail?
And if your system is set up not to siphon down too much water in a power out- why would you need them?

awesomeness, perhaps just a drop to much rock for my personal liking but all the more surface area for beneficial bacteria. do you have some pumps that look like rock work in the middle to avoid dead flow areas? also did you glue the crap out of all that rock work because that is a must!

No glue on the rocks. I think it might be a bit much rock. 400 lbs of rock in the tank.
The MP60 on the right will not spin. The 2 mp 40's on the back don't spin either. I have to call vortex Monday. tank temp started at 68 deg. I'm now up to 70.5 after about 2 hours. It's going to take some time to heat this thing up.

yep it will, sorry can't help with trouble shooting your MPs as iv never owned any. i would strongly recommend you glue the rock work together once you have it the way you like. you can "patch" it together with epoxy on critical joints but it won't be as strong and durable as dry glueing it.

    just my two cents.
