So it looks like the tank has completed the cycle. It's only been 2 1/2 weeks. I think it is too early to start putting fish in. A friend of mine thinks I should start putting fish in the tank now. Anyone have any opinions on this.

It’s already done the algae bloom.

I am still ghost feeding 8 brine fish cubes ever other day. No spikes in any of the levels. Nitrates rise slowly. But a water change of 15gal brings it back down.

    Levels are all good.
    SG 1.024
    PH 8.34
    Ammonia 0
    Nitrites 0
    Nitrates 0

I know you used some existing live rock but did you use any bacteria boosters? that does seem awfully quick. I'd probably add some inverts prior to fish just given the short amount of time.....

im the friend that thinks hes good to go, and here is why:

    -his perameters are good
-the live rock was from an exsisting system, never had any die-off
-hes already had his mini cycle/algea bloom
-when he does a water change on his 90, that old water goes into the new system

its bloomin with bateria, hes good to go. and besides, its only going to have 1 yellow tang, 1 blue hippo, 1 powder blue, and an emp angel. 4 fish for 300 gallons wont cause a shock to this system. IMO at least

Well 2.5 weeks is pretty quick but you are the ones running the tests and if you saw it cycle then make the call. The live rock is good but how much live rock was actually added (lbs) as 300lbs per the thread was base.

The 4 fish are from a current system or purchasing new? If purchasing new I would not be putting them into the DT until they have been put through QT for 4 weeks. Would suck to introduce parasite into tank just being set up

I these are 4 fish that are currently in the 90 and the system is running fine then why rush things is my opinion. I would give it an extra week to 2 weeks.

How many water changes have actually been done in the 90 in 2.5 weeks and how much water on each change?

Just food for thought as my opinion is really no better than yours.
In the end it is his tank so no one can say don't ;)

the 90 is set up to do atuo water changes, 5 gallons 3 times a week. so there is over 60 gallons of established tank water in the new set up.
