    my hood fits two lights that screw in and i am getting corals soon what two lights could i get that screws in and would provide me with enough watts for my tank (read sig for tank info)

    so what would be a good light to use for corals i want about 7 watts per gallon

    Get a decent set of T5's. These should work nicely. Intense light, and a shallow tank.

    Watts per gallon is a poor rule to follow... Unfortunately at the moment there is no better rule

    if you use a screw in pc bulb it will need to be powerful enough to melt the lid.i'd get a normal pc retrofit kit 40watts or better.thats what i did on my daughters 10.or you could get a small 70watt clip on mh lamp
