I have never been and just recently started looking into it, are there any good places in south Florida? The keys I would think, what do you need to go?

You need to be scuba certified. I think it is about $300 and lasts several weeks for the classes.

South florida isn't all too great.

If you're willing to go down to the keys, the further down you go, the better.

Specifically my favorites? Molasses, Benwood wreck, anywhere in John Pennekamp State park is pretty nice.

If you need classes, I know a dive master you might want to contact. Save you a little $$

PM me if you want his #

    That would be awesome!

I can go to the keys no big deal if the sights are better there.

How young can you be to go? I don't have anyone that will go with me except my 11 year old niece.

I don't know the specific age to get certified, but i think 11 should be old enough.

    I've been diving since I was 8.

If the keys is no problem, definitely go to one of those reefs. I highly recommend molasses.

you dont need to be certified to go scuba diving. you can take like a two hour long class for like 80$ then do like two dives with a group. thats how i did my first dive. I was down at key largo. nice reefs lots of cool fish. although there are alot better
