SCUBA Lessons

I love in northwestern Ohio; I want to get my scuba certification. I can swim, but have never been scuba diving.

So where is the nearest PADI certified scuba "center"? I saw Dan's SCUBA, which cover the areas for Cleveland, Akron, Cuyahoga, Summit, and Portage county.

Any other places that would cover my area? Located in Seneca county...

 

Call up your local scuba equipment shop and ask for their recommendations on local instructors.

 

Across the farm fields of Ohio, we don't have many dive(scuba equipment) shops.

 

haha Darn those fields of corn. ;D When are you going to college? Some college offer scuba lessons as a class. It's nice, because you get college credit to do something you were already going to do.

 

Well I am looking at the Marine Biology program at James Cook University in Tropical Northern Queensland, Australia so I am sure I would be able to get the classes there, but I was thinking it would be cool to be at least partially certified already.

I completely understand though. Have you ever done it? A lot of time then.

 

Its a lot more fun to get certified somewhere warm than the midwest. Any summer vacation plans?

 

Mcfarrow - Yes, I would imagine...I used to live near the beach(Virginia beach, VA) when I was younger. I loved going to the beach and wading in the water.

No set plans for a vacation yet. I suggested Puerto Rico; Dad said I was crazy. lol. $800 per person(for 1 week: hotel and air) Maybe we could look at Virginia as a vacation spot? Anyone have recommendations for the each coast?

Maybe I have some convincing to do? :

 

Done what?...Gone scuba diving? Gone to Australia? I haven't done either. haha
