I was thinking of installing some small spraybars behind and underneath my rock in my tank, it is bare bottom with rock rubble. I heard about the scwd and it kind on caught my eye that way the current would variate. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!

I use the smaller one in my 75 gallon and it seems to work well. Switches the current like it's supposed to.

They work pretty good as long as you keep the gears inside clean. Their biggest drawback is the rob about 25-30% of the pumps output with the backpressure they add. As long as your pump can handle it they are a pretty inexpensive way to add random flows though without having to add powerheads and a controller.

I have no miles to vary here. I recently did some research on this product. It seems that the smaller sizes had some pretty major problems. I think the larger sizes are easier to clean, with a removable lid.

I would google around, they seemed to be very popular for a while.

Again, I have not personally used one, I've only googled around.

I have had 1 on my tank for about 6 months. Works great. I just cleaned it.was a breeze just put in a vin bath, then went out side and ran water from a house through it then rinse with ro/di water. There wasn't much gunk build up in it.

That's key. I had mine for quite a while. It would jam and require cleaning.
Fantastic for freshwater, maintenance required for saltwater use.

Ya but it took all of 20 mins and I built a by pass in my return to be able to remove easy.I did this knowing everything in a saltwater tank needs maintenance sooner or later
