The same thing happened to my BTA several days ago...I had it just one day and the nxt morning it was stuck in intake of filter. It was pretty big now all that's left is a 3" fella with a foot and tentacles...carbon is running and I've been monitoring closely. It's taken on some pretty crazy shapes in the last 72 hrs. but it's still attached to rock so we shall see..good luck with yours!

The anemone may recover from the injury on its own, but you could also try dipping it in a Lugol's Iodine solution like Pro Coral Cure to help it recover from the stress/ injury and reduce the chance of microbial/bacterial infection on the anemone. In this application the iodine will act as an antiseptic and hopefully prevent the spread of the tissue necrosis.

JMO I would get rid of the anemone. I had one and lack of experience at the time He moved alot and went to the powerhead. Killed everything. The first time is just a warning but the second time you might not be that lucky. Good Luck!

Unfortunately, the anemone did not pull through. He wasn't looking good and was starting to smell so we removed him from the tank. Thanks for the advice though everyone, I'll definitely use it in the future and I'll be covering my power head from now on.
