I got a sea cucumber on Tuesday from liveaquaria. It has been on the glass since it got in the tank. This morning I noticed it has some white film looking stuff on it. Is it dying and about to nuke my tank ? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1374247234.071969.jpg

I've seen mine do that from time to time with no problems. but not to that extreme. Here's a bump for you. Hopefully someone with better knowledge will chime in.

Your pic is pretty fuzzy, but it looks like you have a Holothuria sp. cuke...they aren't really the "tank-nukers"...that would be genus Cholochirus (generally the little pink or yellow specimens you see) and of course, sea apples.

like mentioned above, doesn't appear to be one of the tank nukers! Generally the brighter the color cucumber the more dangerous ones they are. How is it doing today? I have never seen one of mine do that, but I have only had a couple so that doesn't mean a whole lot! Keep an eye on it, but don't worry too much about it killing your tank.

However, what size is your tank, how did you acclimate it?
