    hey guys

    i was thinking of purchasing a pink and black top sea cucumber, but i thought id ask everyone here... the ups and downs of this inverts... i mean... does it do anything good for the tank.. or just for the looks... and i would like to know whether a sunset wrasse would try take a chunk out of this thing?

    Its a detrivore and when provoked can exert its gut releasing deadly toxins that will not only kill its self but the huge majority of everything in your tank.

    Go w/ a tigertail cuke. I've never heard of them nuking. I have one in 55 about 16".

    While it's dangerous to speak in generalities, I will in this case. In general, brightly colored cucumbers have toxins while drab white, gray, brown, and black ones do not.
