I have one. He is in my tank for over a year now and still doing a good job cleaning and shifting sand. He literally eats sand and p00ps out. :D

do cucumbers move? I thought they were not mobile and were just filter feedings?

regardless, my LFS has had some really awesome looking ones. very bright colors.

I have a green and pink spiny sea cucumber, super cool looking invert. As soon as I put him in my tank he found a spot he likes on one of my rocks and hasn't moved since, just sits there filter feeds all day and night.

He moves all over the sand bad and sometimes on live rocks. AFAIK, they are not filter feeders.

I depends on the type of cucumber you get, some move around the tank and eat and some are stationary and filter feed.

brightly colored sea cucumbers are the ones that usually filter feed. the more dull colors are the ones that eat detritus and are in the sand more.
