I have plans to redo my system this summer and also want to include a bit of seagrass and came up with the brain fart today that I could simply take a smaller aquarium and fill it with the "nasty" mud/sand combo that seagrass require and then build up live rock around it to hide the small aquarium. I plan to elevate the sand "tank" so that it creates a shallow area with live rock forming a wall. Just an idea for now.

Hmm...kind of like that. I was hoping to acheive the same effect with just a rock wall. But a little aquarium (or whatever) would do a better job of containing the "funk". Great idea! Thanks!

You could also put the mud in plastic pots. And add live rock around them, to hide..
Thats the way I grow plants in my fresh water ponds in the yard..
    Works good..
