i have alot of hair algae and many people are saying sea hares are a solution. I looked at websites and some say they are easy to care for some say they are hard. I need someone who has owned them from there experince to tell me please. What would they eat if the hair algae runs out

have never had the need to own one... but they can be supplemented with nori and they eat a lot!
I would recommend getting to the bottom and cutting off the source of the phosphates for the gha instead of getting a quick fix that will cost you more money to maintain in the long run.

I got a lettuce nudibranch, he's kool and eats all day. I've had him for over 8 weeks no problems.

I have had a sea hare in my tank mowing down hair algae for a few weeks now... the algae is starting to be less and less, but the sea hare still has enough to eat to keep going.. it looks and acts very healthy.... it looks like this one:

your best bet is to return it when there is nothing else for it to eat, you don't want it dying in your tank.

    what he said...

I forgot to mention that I have someone ready and willing to take my sea hare if/when it runs out of algae... I don't plan on supplementing his feeding with nori... though I will miss him!

At the shop, we would sell them and then give the customer a 75% credit when they returned them.
