Hi all - can I have your thoughts on another matter....

I bought a Sea Hare as part of my CUC and have some questions on it as it seems I didnt do my research on this and fell into a sales trick from the LFS.

    1. Do I need to remove the Hare's poo (lots in my 20G!)
    2. Could he die and crash the tank and if so should I move him on now?
    3. I feed it every other day with Algae pellets but its rate he eats it, would he strave (tank is quite clean) Also the waster food could cause probs.
Im concered as I have spent so long getting the tank ready and im worried the hare will be too much of a bio load.

    - 20gallon nano
    - 2 juv B&W clowns
    - 5 hermits
    - 2 Pepp Shrimp
    - 1 Firefish Goby
    - AND THE SEA HARE......

Without continuous algae to eat, the sea hare will starve to death in short order. Your LFS should not have sold it to you without telling you this; shame on them!

You may be able to get it to eat nori and other macroalgaes in the meantime, but you may want to look for a long term home for your sea hare in a very large tank with lots of algae.

If you belong to a local reef club, you probably can pass it around to help other members. In your tank, I would get rid of it if you don't have algae problems. The biggest problem with sea hares, is that they like to commit suicide in your powerhead.
