Sea hare inking?

    Saw my sea hare ( hitchiker) this am inking a white cloud 5 times. What does this do to waterquality/ livestock. Do i need to do anything?

    normally it would not ink white (actually not sure they ink at all, they have toxins so not needed to ink....creatures that do octopus etc ink black).....i am thinking it might be peeing or reproducing? What kind of sea hare is it?

    How big is the tank? I've had them ink (was always purple not white) with no issues in fairly large systems. Any idea why it's inking? It's generally a sign of some type of stress or something is attacking it.

    Going on a limb here, but perhaps a stomatella snail which was spawning?

    i say spawning also. little puffs of white smoke. remember it scared the crap outa me the first time i saw it in my tank lol

    Yes, little puffs of white. Not sure what kind as it is a hitchiker. 9 gallon mini reef. No shell that i can see and very aparent horn looking appendages on head which is why i thought it to be a seahare. It moves very slow as well.

    It is a stomatella snail........good hitchicker and reproduces like little rabits.
