I am in the early stages of a hair algae problem and I wanted to know if a sea hare works better at removing the algae then a lawnmower blenny because i already have 4 fish in my 20 gallon and I don't think i should have any more. Thanks for your help!

I had a lownmower blenny and it never went for the hair algae, but if its the early stages a turbo snail would do

also i wouldn't go with the sea hair just because it will eat all of the GHA then starve

I had two Mexican turbo snails but i got rid of them because one of them fell on its back and died when i was gone, and they also just stayed on the glass and didn't clean my rocks. Idk if mine just didn't work very well, or are they different snails?

did you acclimate them? One time someone said to me that you didnt have to with snails so when i first got a turbo i just temp acclimated it and after i put it in it just looked like it was staring off into space for a day or two then died

The Lawnmower Blenny that I had, while highly entertaining, never messed with hair algae. As a result, I never called him a Lawnmower but simply an Algae Blenny, because he loved going after film algae. Plenty of kiss marks on the glass to show that! :) But he couldn't mow a lawn to save his life.
