If you got two as hitchhikers, they are probably Dolabrifera dolabrifera.

The Sea Slug Forum - Dolabrifera dolabrifera

The above link says they only grow to about 40mm, although I had one that reached about 50mm (two inches). I think that's probably near the maximum. Because they stay small, they shouldn't be as much of a problem to feed. The one in the pic above, Dolabella auricularia, can get about as big as a full grown house cat, and it would take a lot of algae to feed those. I think you should be able to keep one of them anyway, even if you choose to take the other back to the LFS.

As for removing them from the rock, I usually tried to slide a spatula or something flat under the front edge and let them crawl onto it, if possible. Most of the time they made 90 degree turns to avoid crawling onto it, but sometimes they can be coaxed into it by blocking their other options. If you can't do that, try sliding a kitchen knife under the edge and gently detach the animal from the rock.

By the way, if it's that species, Dolabrifera dolabrifera, they don't ink as far as I know, and if they are toxic at all, they aren't toxic enough to cause a problem in your tank.

    Good luck!
