Sea hare

Got sea hare yesterday to get rid of gha he hasn't not yet touched it he moves around the tank then hides in the sand is this normal. Is he adjusting to the tank or have I got a bad one.

 

Which species did you get? My have always gone to work with in a dad. But it is likely that he is still adjusting, unless your parms. are off

 

he big brown ugly one prams are fine. probably just me just worrying.

 

mine usually goes into the sand during the day and comes out just before the lights go off... give him a few days... They also like to eat nori, gracileria, and agardiella, IME... maybe it hasn't "discovered" the algae yet...

 

he so ugly he is cool.he has discovered the algae it has eaten a little bit the cleaner shrimp keeps gets on its nerves then he buries him self.you just hear stories about people adding sea hares to there tank and they get to work straight away.

 

that's weird that the cleaner is bothering him... my cleaner shrimp rode on my sea hare's back for the first day or two, but stopped after that... didn't seem to bother it though.

 

the shrimp always bothers new things i add to the tank im sure he will leave the hare alone in a day or two or when he finds something else to bother.
