    Hey guys,

I just caught the serpent and brittle star that had been causing my tank and livestock so much trouble. They're in a bucket now, and I can't take them back to the lfs until Wednesday. I don't want them to suffer, do you guys think they'll survive three days in a bucket w/ no heater ( my house is very warm though, 70 degrees), or should I try to euthanize them? I don't know how to euthanize a starfish. I would have done this later, but it's hard to catch them in my system and this was one of the only oppurtunitites. If anyone wants them and is willing to pay for shipping, they're yours for free. One is a serpent star, small and red, one is a brittle star, black and white banded.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
If they have an air source they should be fine. Maybe put some LR in there for them to hide in.

Give them a chance, just leave them be and see what's happening. No need to kill them if there is a chance to survive.

get a plastic container with a lid, punch a bunch or 1/8" holes in it(dont tell the wife), toss some rubble rock in and add to aquarium. place the mean critters in there untill the LFS is open. 10 minutes of time and is reusable for mean inverts and coral fragging!

Sorry, didn't check my thread until now. Both stars were brought back to the lfs today, alive and well. Thanks!
