So i recently found a few brown flatworms in my 30 gallon aquarium. Then I noticed a small white starfish (hitch-hiker); eating a brown flatworm.

Does any one have an id for this starfish?

I am also interested to know what this is. I had something similar, although it was white, flat with small black spots

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
It is an Asterina star, there are hundreds of different types.

Some become opportunistic eaters of coral, other strictly algae and some eat coralline algae, most are harmless.

Populations of some types can explode so they bear watching.
