I just got a few zoanthid frags and a ricordia yuma tonight. I have a rather big Long Spinned Urchin in my 46 gallon. I will be giving my urchin to the local LFS as he is dangerous to the frags and everybody else. I am floating the stuff right now. Can I keep everythinng in the bag floating till I give back the urchin tommorrow? With the bag cut open for oxygen? Do I have to place everything on the sand bed and hope the urchin does not stress it all?
    Thanks,
    Adam

I have an air stone. I was going to tomorrow do a water change then stick him inthe bucket and take to the store. Is it safe to keep the new livestock in the plastic bags floating?

If you got the frags from a local store they proably need to be taken out and not left in. If you got them online and shipped..maybe.

Do you have a sump? Good overnight place for the Urchin.

Or put a strainer in the tank upside down if it sinks right side up if it floats and someone can go in there.

I forgot I have a in-tank refugium. I put the frags in there. Should I also put the 2 ricordia yumas in there or leave on sand bed with chance of sea urchin bothering?

Do you have any Styrofoam, you could rubberband the frags to that and float em in the water :)

No styrofoam. I put everything including the red ricordea yuma in the in-tank CPR refugium without the Rio pump. the pump was adding to much flow and I dont want the yumas touching the zoo's. There still getting little flow from the flow from the HOB Filter above it going in the 2 little holes in the side of the refugium. Tommorow I will do a water change and take out the urchin. I like the little guy too which makes it hard to give him back. He outgrew my 46 gallon. He has some spines about 6-8 inches long.
