I have 2 urchins not quite as big as yours mine are only about 5 or 6 inches long and I have lots of Ricordeas and Zoa's, leathers, mushrooms all in the same tank and never had any issues. But if your intent on getting rid of him then put him in a bucket of salt water.

As long as you house isn't less than 70 degrees it will be fine, mine are in my seahorse tank and at this time the temp is about 73 or 72 degrees and they do just fine. The only thing that you really have to worry about with them is changes in salinity, they are fairly sensitive to that, but other than this they are pretty hardy.

I like my sea urchin just his spines i think bother the zoo's and if he walks over a ricordia yuma he could move it and my luck if would be in back of the rock. He does not have much room to roam in my 46 gallon with corals everywhere

56 gallon, what I like to call a tower.... As I said its has leathers, Zoa's, Ricordeas and mushrooms.
These are some picture from about 2 months ago. I have since added way more coral, 2 long spine urchins,
2 seahorses, a clown goby, a green mandrin and a small scooter blenny. I also have 4 more horses and 2 pipe fish
that are in quarantine and food training right now that will be in this tank. The two urchins in these pictures are
rock urchins, spines are not as long but just as many and just as pointy. I call them my dozer's because the move
my rocks around all the time. All my urchins cruise over my ricordias all the time an it never seems to bother them
much, they also run over the zoa's which close up for a few then open right back up after they are gone.
