He hasn't moved in like 3 days. None of my crabs are bothering him so i take it he is not dead. But is he about to kick the bucket?

I already did. Everything was fine. I take it to my LFS to test.

I'd tend to guess everything isn't fine, based on the large amount of algae I see and that the urchin doesn't appear well. What else can you tell us. for example, How old is the tank and what else is in it? How is your other livestock doing? Is the algae new, or has that been there? What parameters did the LFS test, what kits did they use, and what values correspond to "fine"?

My tank is about 3 months old. I just had another diatom bloom because i put new rock in there like 2 weeks ago. But most of the algae has been there but its was going away because i didn't have enough flow in the tank. 0 nitrate. 8.2ph. I can't remember the rest but they said it was good. They use the test that is on the sticks. Could the salinity be a problem? I left for 2 weeks and somehow my temp was on 88 and most of the water evaporated so the salinity was at 1.030. Could that be it? All of my other inverts are fine.

Try moving it. It could have just come across something it is taking it's time eating.

my Royal Urchin always picks up small pieces of rock, small snail shells, etc. as a sort of camo. Others have said theirs do the same.
