sea urchin in my tank

    i was wondering can i have a sea urchin in my tank? for lighting i have a 10k t8 bulb and an antinic t8 bulb and led moonlites.

    is there anything special i need to have one?

    what do i feed them?

    they are massive algae eaters. they also will most likley eat coralline algae. they need good water quality without much swins like most inverts. you can give them nori to eat

    Like drew said. They need stable water parameters and clean water (high nitrates, bad), a lot of algae to eat, and a lot of live rock to eat from. You can feed seaweed strips if you don't have enough on the rocks for them.

    Lighting doesn't matter.
