I got a seabae last week which I probably wouldn't have done if I'd read this thread.

Anyway, it has lime green tentacles and a white base. The base is about 3" long and very thick. The base is white which Im guessing it should be. I placed it about half way down the tank and a fish or the water movement made it fall between 2 rocks where it initially was wedged right side up. It didn't seem to make any attempt to crawl out. It was a little slimy when I put it in but seemed happy once it was in the tank.

After about a day, I couldnt see it at all.

Today I removed the rock and found it upside down below the rock in the sand base. My LFS advised me to leave it alone but I can't see how it could move if it's upside down.

I moved it out to the corner of the tank just sitting on the sand. The very center is a bit bleached but the outer tentacles are fine. It has squished down in size.

Should I just leave it where it is or should I move it closer to the lights? I have a tall tank with 150w MHs.

Like LFS said I would mess with it. Cause of the move you may have stressed it and it may feal like it needs safty under a rock or some item like that. It will move itself when the time comes don't worrie if it is upside down or anything like that. Don't cause it more stress. I would recomend a med/light water flow around it. This is my seabea hope it helps you http://www.3reef.com/forums/inverts/seabae-anemone-iotm-feb-09-a-58612.html Good luck

Is this the tank in your sig? If so I would take it back honestly, tank is way way to young for a seabae.
Also, do you have a pic? A seabae doesn't look like what you are describing. It should be a dark cream color with purple tips. It sounds like you might have a BTA.
But anyways, are the tentacles still sticky? Is there a foul smell from it?

    To clarify tank time

I got my first tank last May. I moved everything from the 14 gallon nano to a new 29 gallon in January and added more live rock and live sand. I have two of the original fish I got last may - a clown and a chromis. So I consider it almost a year old.

    Your take?

Ill try to post a pic. Maybe it's not a seabae.

PS It turned itself upside down last night and when I came home today it was still upside down wedged partially under a rock and tentacles fully extended so I guess its happy.;D

Adding new LR and LS created a new cycle when you moved your tank. Depending on how much you added, it will essentially make your year old tank brand new.
