Leathers aren't bad, you can get a frag for cheap, about $20, larger pieces will be more anywhere from $40-$60, although I saw a mushroom leather about the size of a basketball go for $120. I haven't seen a gorgarian at a lfs, you can find them online.

the gorgons seem like pretty average prices for corals, Sea Fans: Sea Fan Corals
you probably will only need one since they get big i think

as long as you get a reputable site its fine, ive order from saltwaterfish.com several time fish always appear in excellent health(better then lfs). heard good things about liveaquaria. you could also check out the sponsors here.

Ah....sorry....misinterpreted your post. If I'm not mistaken, gorgonians with brown polyps eat phyto and gorgonians with white polyps eat zooplankton. I could be completely wrong though :)

I have purchased leathers for pretty cheap. Larger specimens are around $60. Pretty good.

It really depends on the seller. Piece-of-the-reef.com is a good place to order from. Our sponsors here on the site are really good as well. I have a disadvantage because I live in Washington State. Many times they cannot get the product here overnight. So that can suck.
