Both my seahorses started with pouch bloat. It empties easy but fills again within hrs. I know I need to flush them but Im limited on what I can use. Im stranded on an island, well its more like 2 rivers. I cant get to a pet store until the water goes down. Any suggestions? Betadine? chlorhex? amoxi? some of the things I have on hand. Any idea why both males?

I will be watching for some one who keeps seahorses to answer this. We have a few here that do. I know nothing about them but would like to learn about them. I am sure someone can help here.

Is it just bubbles in their pouches? If it is, many people just use their hands, capturing the Seahorse, then using their finger to gently flush the pouch. Many people have different methods of treating this disease. Google it and you will find some suggestions. Just remember to never pop the bubbles.

thank you to all who responded. The boys seem better today and one gave birth last night so I think he will be fine. As for my rivers the water has gone down enough to get to a pet store. Thanks again.

    Glad to hear it.

I have read this as well. Seems to be a faily common technique.
