    @DSC - Yeah I wasn't sure if I was over thinking too much or not and if it was as simple as the salt is still good and just go ahead and use it.

    @Billme - That's the kind of technical stuff I was trying to get to but I don't how all the elements react and change once they have been exposed to humidity. I'm sure someone would be able to analyze this and use salt that hasn't been exposed to humidity as a control and salt that has been exposed to humidity for different time periods as the test groups but that is all beyond me.

    It may be as simple as getting a half bag wet/damp, then breaking it up, and test both samples for whatever you want. I'd go with Ca and Carb.

    I've had it harden up and what can happen is the alk and calcium combine to basically form limestone. After I tested it the alk was a grand total of "1". As long as it test ok though it should be fine.
