Well yesturday was the day I finally broke down my 72g bowfront and assembled the 150g tank that has been occuping my kitchen for the last few months. We started yesturday morning at 8 am and I finally finished cleaning up the house around 11 pm. All I can say is what a day. I am so glad it is set up and running.

On Friday Salisito25 and I decided that we would assemble the lights in the hood and rough in all the plumbing. Well what a challenge that was. Turns out neither the Home Depot by me or the Lowes carry 1" id "y" split PVC so there went idea one and we had to use a "t" fitting. We also somehow after spending a hour plus at home depot got one wrong fitting and forgot some others. So after tinkering and getting it to where we could we assembled another list and decided to finish the plumbling on Saturday as we were both fustrated.

So moving forward to Saturday morning Salisito25 and another friend of mine came by to start the "fun". Breaking down of the 72g Bow went smooth and without issue. However before bring the 150g into the living room where it would be set-up there were two bushes that had to be removed to get it into the door. This was a no brainer out with the bushes.

The 150g was then set in place and after about two hours the pumbing was finally all assembled and the sand was transfered. We then filled the tank to about the halfway mark and started the fun task of assembling the rock structure. This went suprisingly easy and to my suprise I think we have a 99% final rock structure. I have some left over rock that will not fit in the sump and may add its way to the tank within the next few days.

After the rock strucure was complete it was time to fill the rest of the tank and recheck for any new leaks. Well you guessed it we had a small leak in one of the bulkhead fittings. We then set to the task of tinkering with that and I believe that as of my last check of the tank have it fixed.

I am 99% happy with the new tank that was set-up yesturday however if I had to change just one thing I would of had my custome made sump be made just 1 foot longer. When i recieved the sump it looked huge and now that everything is in it well yeah not lookign so big anymore.

On to the fun stuff a list of equipment I am using:

    Tank:
    150 Gallon Reef Ready
