I tested my water today and am mixing salt for a water change now. I will be doing a 10% change in a bit.

    High range pH: 7.4
    Ammonia: 0ppm
    Nitrite: 0ppm
    Nitrate: 20ppm
    Phosphate: 0.2ppm
    Calcium: 450ppm
    Specific Gravity: 1.026

I need to buy a magnesium test kit.

After two weeks of the tank being set up with water/rock/sand the only thing I have noticed for a cycle is a bit if hair algae on one single shell, and some diatoms. :) I think it's time to add in the CUC and get the stuff I need to get it running! :D

I had another small problem. After losing the silicone in the move from the old house I finally found it back today. But when I went to use it I realized it was GE Silicone(like I need, or I thought). But then I saw it was not Silicone 1, but 2, and was actually white caulk. *sigh* :(

Right now my NO3 level(I still need to test for this week) is around 10-15ppm. I am hoping this will get me down to 0-2ppm and stay even around 1. 0 would be nice, but not practical.

I may be able to get the return pump off of Craig's List and I should be getting my lights this weekend or early next week. I need to get a hold of Orphek about that.

Sorry, dude. It's been my plan for a while to go with LED's. I've been waiting for something bright(literally. lol) in technology to come out. I think I've found it.

With these bulbs I will have at least 50w of LED over my tank. I think that should be plenty.

Thanks, Mike. I'm excited as well. If it works, this weekend should be the big time to see it all come together(finally)! :D Stay tuned!
