    "fish room"

In my previous build thread I talked about using the space below my stairs as a fish room, for equipment, & extra stuff.

I want to do this still, but I have a few questions..

-quarantine tank. I think I will use a 20g long for my QT. DO I need a separate tank for fish versus corals? Can I have them in the same QT? Should I run a small fuge on the back for filtration?(turn it off when medicating)

-auto top off. I will use a 5g bucket. I'd like make it gravity fed...help?

-water changes. I may also get a 32 brute trashcan to store premixed SW.

....um, the walls in my house are plaster lath.::) How big of a mess will I make, cutting a whole in the wall for plumbing to go into the "fish room"?

haha Well right now I actually just have the crappy T8 bulb that came with the tank. I think I will be using this fixture though, from Marine & Reef.

are you going to line the bulbs in the center of the 29 g or are you going to zig zag them to get lighting from end to end

I'll center them so I can have several different levels of lighting.

Yay, I want candy! :) I can't wait to get this rebuilt. I think while the tank is down I'll add a skin over-top of the 3/4" ply. Bead-board with white trim.

The FS order arrived today, early. :) ...powerheads are in the tank now. one aiming at the surface of the water, the other, about half way down the glass aiming at the rock.

Will I have to take the rock out in order to get rid of my cyano? If so, I'll do that when I have to install the OF.

Pictures up, soon. I'll do a WC too.

PS: I still seem to have some dead spots in the water movement? How can I fix this? The 2 power heads are Koralia nano 425's.
