What type of lighting are you planning for this tank?

I will most likely be going with 2 of the Boost LED bulbs. 3 blue & 2 white diodes. 60* optics. I will do a DIY frame to make a fixture for the bulbs. I'll make a thread for that when the time comes.

Well I will follow along as I know next to nothing about LED. I had my doubts about them initially, but they have proved to be quite effective with regard to growing corals and clams. I also like the look of the newer versions.

The only problem I may see is the lights being too bright. I may go with 4 blue & 1 white, as the white is like blinding. haha

That is going to be great to see how everything does under the LED lighting. I stayed away from them due to the weaker power of the previous generations and stories about how they did not support high light coral well. This should be an excellent build thread.

Thanks. I didn't want the LEDS at first either. But these new ones seem to be a big turn from the norm. It also beats replacing the bulbs every few months.

This is the plan for plumbing. I need to go out buy a few more parts.

With this I can do, basically, automatic water changes. Not quite, but with just the switch of a few ball valves...

Round 2 at plumbing for the somewhat "auto-WC".

Overflow & return lines just about done. Well, dry fitting. I need some more parts for the return still. The line in the back is the waste line I mentioned for WC's.
