Ima have to show my buddy this so he makes one haha!! oh btw I had a similar experience at Home Depot, some lady was trying to help me find some plumbing, she asked what it was for when I said a fish tank she freaked out and wanted to c pictures, then made me say I would bring her back pictures when it was all done... after my tank explosion Im embarrassed to even talk to that same chick haha

 

Nice setup, Sean. Looks like you're prepared to do some serious surgery. You have a nurse to help handle all that equipment during an operation?

 

It's 5:30 AM. I have class in two hours. Just woke up to the sound of a gurgling pump...I thought it sounded like someone was breaking into the house...

Then I find that a piece of airline tubing I had in the sump for my ato bucket (not yet set up) had fallen out of the sump on one end...and onto the floor. This spilled about 2 gallons of SW on the wood floor behind the tank. Then I had to make up for that in distilled before I realized it was not evap.

I put a towel on the wet area (it's hard to reach), and turned a fan on. I'll test salinity when I wake up later...

Now it's certain I don't want a gravity-fed ato for mistakes like that.

I woke up one morning and my gravity ATO had failed and my biocube was filled to the top. It didn't hurt anything it just scared the crap out of me. Now I just use a ball valve to release water into the tank twice a day. Good luck man, hope all goes well.
