Thanks, guys! I will see if Dad will take me to Lowe's to get the maple ply, as well as the wood stain.

Before I go though...I thought about taking 3" off of the width of the stand. I would have to cut 3" off of the 8 boards that run the width(basically "stretchers"). It wouldn't be too bad, but it will take about an hour or so.

The reason for cutting the boards is because I designed the cabinet with a power bar in the back "control station" along with the Aqua controller, DC8, and the Lunar Sim. But after building it, the tank will stick too far out into the room and I have decided to move the power bar(s) to the inside of the cabinet. The Controller will still be behind the tank.

I played around with the 'scape again today. It will be changed again when I add the rest of the rock (15 pounds Key Largo shelf) once the 75 is up. But I like where this is going. :)

Sorry the pictures are so dark. Still no lights, yet! ;)

    Thanks!

I can't wait until it comes time to model the plane crash in between the two islands! I am hoping the plane will encrust in coraline and corals will grow over it. This is the model plane I am trying to find.

Im sure it will, All the plastic in my tank; Skimmer, hob filters (on the down tube and inside!), power heads have it on them and its took no time at all! May i suggest maybe having a whole wing maybe propped up on a small chunk of rock. And have it sitting on the sand bed standing alone. I think that be pretty neat!

God idea. I think I want to have a wing broken off or something similar. Maybe some bullet holes using the smallest drill bit I can find! lol.

Thanks. ...I am not sure about the paint. What kind of paint would be considered "reef safe" ?

Uhh lol I'm not sure on that one, if I where you I would go to your hobby store and see if they have a model you can put together and just not paint it, just use some reef safe silicone to put it together...
