I am thinking about either going with a FO tank or doing a pico tank or both. The 29g is still on hold for now though...

I tested the 29g yesterday and I have 10ppm nitrates...not bad for not doing water changes in 6 months and only 4 hermit crabs as my cuc....didn't do other tests yet.

I hate to hear that about the big build, but at least you have this one going. My first reef tank was a 29 gallon, and it was a long time ago, but I had fish and corals last over 5 years in it. and this was with no sump and bad lighting....good luck to you, and look at it this way, being that money is an issue, this tank will fill up and look more natural and complete in a shorter period of time.

lol. I was just thinking the same thing, dowtish. :) I have a Bad___ tank already planned to build when I get out of college.

But you will get to see a new stand for the 29g. :)

The new stocking list for the 29 gallon mixed reef...

    fish:

mated pair of pink skunk clownfish
    http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15 27 2545&pcatid=2545

    inverts:
    2 pacific cleaner shrimp
    2 pederson shrimp
    3 or 5 sexy shrimp
    squamosa clam
    maxima clam
    BTA

    coral:
misc. zoanthids - looking for oranges and yellows
acans - looking for blues and purples (found on 10dollarfrags)
favids - looking for greens and reds (found on 10dollarfrags)
Monti cap. - 1 orange and 1 green
    M. undata

As I look at the different corals I like, I am thinking I will have many more LPS than SPS..but I will have a mixture of everything. I plan too have a little corner of the tank just for scolly's. I saw it done in a picture of a LFS someone else posted on 3reef. I am gonna follow their idea. :)
    Maybe some Acros and Millis

I think now would be an appropriate time to update the thread with some photos. I will get those to you guys later today. I have almost no coraline growth because the 29g overheated when I was away for about a week and a half. I have 2 lone crabs left in the 29g right now. I will also get a picture of the broken 75g.

lol. Sorry I've been watching Youtube for the past few hours...been lazy and so the camera battery is not charged yet. I can't find my charger?

I had looked into all different lighting options, as you have obviously noticed. I haven't decided yet though. :)
