They have been found to regulate zoox levels in corals if in extreme high amounts. Even the Radion's red LEDs on full won't do that (according to them) so I doubt 2 will. Also, all spectrums grow algae, not just red and red is not any more efficient than say blue.

well with PC lighting, that's the reason you have to change the bulbs every 6-8 months, because they start dropping from a bluer spectrum to a reddish orange one. Also, red and blue light promote photosynthesis more then any other spectrum.

How long is your tank? They have 60* lenses, so pretty focused. I would hang it at least a foot off the tank and go from there.

Yah, hang it up maybe a foot, 16"? Your tank isn't very wide so not sure...

I saw those online today too, they caught my eye.
thepanfish brings up a good point when you do get the new led's make sure to hang them high above the tank to start. The coral will need time to adjust. My AI sol's have 70 degree optics, are hung around 16" above the tank and are ramped up to a max intensity of 80%. My point is that the led's can be rather intense and an unsuspecting reefer may confidently nuke their corals.

Thanks for the tip. I forgot about needing to have them higher up to acclimate the coral. I should then slowly lower the lights to where they will be set.

I was being stupid today and decided tot take a dremel and shorten the frag plug the birds nest is on (it didn't want to stay upright where I put it. crabs kept knowing it over). Well, I got it how I wanted but accidentally knocked the mini colony off of the plug in the process. I glued it back on with superglue gel, and relocated it on the rock. It seems to be doing just fine now, polyps extended and all.
