    That's funny :D

I don't know what the situation will be when I move into college (how busy I will be, other activities, etc).

But after $65 and 3 hours work.. :)

I am going to paint it white and Dad is going to install an outlet in the wall. Hopefully this happens tomorrow. I don't want the tank/rock bucket to sit dormant for too long...

Thanks, John. It's 1/2" birch with 1x2 dimensional pine struts.

I look at it now and realize I forgot to cut 1/4" off the door height to allow room for it to open (without hitting the floor). I also need to re-drill the piano hinge because It isn't quite square. Ugh. And I thought I had it just right when I was drilling it. :-/ lol

Very nice! I like design. Are you putting a sump underneath?

May I suggest using a foam brush and/or roller when you paint?:)

Thanks very much. See what happens when you wait? :)

No sump on this one, on the of chance that I do take it with me to school (which is really up in the air for now). I would have to bring it home for summer/winter breaks.

You know, I hadn't thought of that. I was going to spray paint it as long as I can get the tank running soon. It needs to be done outside but it dries within a few hours. Krylon works great and doesn't show lines when you do it carefully. But I am almost out of that kind.

I will have to see if I have house paint in the basement...I guess it wouldn't be as fumy, so I could paint it indoors if need be.

Patience is a virtue (especially in this hobby). I haven't done a lot (very little actually) of spray painting, so I am not sure how that would look. I have done a lot of painting around the house and at work recently (latex, epoxy, poly etc. on wood and block) and I have come to realize that foam brushes work the best when applying latex paint to smooth wood surfaces. Using a non-foam roller tends to leave a bumpy texture (which I kind of like, but it isn't desired by all) and brushes can leave a streaky look (not always). If you apply poly to protect from water damage, I would use a cloth rag to apply it. JME

Oh yeah, the foam roller. Good idea. I was thinking you meant rolling it on, in general.

    Can poly be done indoors?
