Sorry Seano if this has already been brought up, but I have had good luck using Red Sea aiptasia X. I got rid of two in my quarantine tank a couple of weeks ago and haven't seen them since.

Thanks. I've heard of it before, but completely forgot. I will have to try that. Do know if this could be used on the sponges as well, by chance?

I have never tried it on sponges, but I'm leaning towards no since aiptasia and sponges have very different physiologies.

I removed one of the rocks from the tank today. Check out the sponge that was on it.

So...this happened at 3am last night while we were sleeping. Dad had just woken up for a sec to get a drink when he heard a loud buzzing sound, then a snap. He called me and we went downstairs because he thought there might have been a fire in the house. Luckily, no fire, but you could very strongly smell the melted plastic/rubber from the cord. I had drip looks on all the outlets inside the tank (where all the equipment is plugged into), but not behind the tank (where I had my two power strips plugged in). We think there may have been a bit of saltwater that we didn't notice, slowly dripping over time and it finally reached the connection. :-/ The equipment seems to be doing fine (except for my heater, whose cord was melted a bit), but nothing tripped or went off when this happened. Lesson learned. I need drip loops everywhere and GFCI outlets for all my plugs.

Also, I think my tank is slowly leaking. I've cleaned it off before, but salt seems to be accumulating on the outside of the seems (4 corners, and bottom frame).

I'm not quite sure where to go from here. I've had so much trouble lately I want to take a break. I'm not leaving the hobby completely, but I will come back in the fall. Do we have some folks on here that might be willing to help me out? Holding the corals for me until I'm ready again?
