I would think your salt should have enough Ca in it but your test prove otherwise. Make sure and mix the dry salt well as the parts do settle before you use it again. If you can not get a supplement for 2 weeks I would let things be until you can get your params in order with the appropriate products.

Ca and Alk will be in separate bottle in 2 part. Ca and Mg may be together depending on the brand.

I use Red Sea Coral Pro salt. I've had the bucket for about 4 months, used very little of it thus far (156g mix - got it for the 29g). I know it is supposed to have elevated mag. and about 12dkH alkalinity but I have no explanation for these exaggerated levels. The only remotely coral-like thing in the tank is 3 small aiptasia anemones.

Thanks for the info. I got mixed up and forgot how 2-part worked for a sec. :)

    :p Thanks, Ryan.

Still no word on those skimmer clips from Hydor. Its been 8 days in the mail from California. I asked for a USPS tracking number (they do give those out - I've gotten one before) and was abruptly told to keep waiting.

Yes, the magnetic clips that hold the skimmer to the glass.

They probably sent them first class so you should see them soon. It also seems to take them a couple of days to get them packaged and shipped.

If you need some calcium levels raised, why not try calcium chloride? Very cheap, very easy. Same with baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) or alk. A little knowledge in chemistry helps cut the prices of dosing, who woulda known!
