Oh yes because 4 seconds of actual playing time followed by 40 seconds of rest is just terribly fast paced and exciting. And hell if a goal was worth 7 points (whats with that anyways) the score would be just as high if not higher than football. Oh, and there's nothing like a sissy football man that makes 15 mil a year missing 4 weeks because he broke his finger. Just wow.

    ;D ;)

Got to agree with packleader here. You have to remember hockey players don't get 6 days to recovery each week. They play 84 games a season, football players only play 16.

Hockey is the best sport ever created. Of course being from pittsburgh area I will be chearing for my penguins. Although it will be hard for us to do better than last season. ;D

yea but hockey player play a total of like 20 minutes, football players are the toughest players in sports period(minus kickers and qbs of course)

and hockey is just plain boring more scoring would be more fun like play wiht out goalies lol

I will agree with you on this point. But I'm still sticking with soccer. I mean have you guys ever watched a good game in person? They can get pretty violent really fast, and with no pads too. Plus, it's 45 min of non stop running. What sport tops that. But this is just one of those century old arguments that will never be settled.

I used to watch ice hockey in Manchester UK - Manchester Storm was the team, made up with players past their prime from the US and Canadian leagues - ( names I recall probably mean nothing but just in case Hilton Ruggles and Dale Jago?)

I do recall that on occasions some of the guys got bored of the fighting and started knocking the puck around and trying for goals etc
