Go redwings. Penguins got lucky last year (Bull$h!t calls) they should of given the cup to those blind zebras. But this year they are going down.

I am not trying to upset any pen fans, but rivalry is part of the game and without the games just wouldnt be as exciting.

For those of you that are going to call me a band wagon rider for being a wings fan and living in Cali. Kiss me base rock. I have been playing the game since i was 4 yrs old and have loved the wings since I played a tournament at Joe Louis when I was 8 yrs old. Kings are me second favor and yes I have season tickets.

I enjoy the rivalry alot to say the least.... However, the Penguins deserved to win last year, after overcoming adversity and scheduled to barely make the playoffs, losing their coach, and the multitude of injuries. They played with alot of heart and passion! Granted playing against a nursing home team such as the Red Wings in combination of passing on their Hossa curse to them a well helped the young team pull it off. Get ready to watch them win it again to top off their last season in the "IGLOO".

Pens won their home opener tonight against the Rangers 3-2!!!

    GO PENS!!!

hockey is just plain boring BORING boring. I mean watching hockey beats getting your nails pulled off by a pair of pliars but not by a whole lot. There's a reason the league almost disbanded a few years ago. It's because NOONE watches it in the states. Canadians seem to watch it a lot but this is the same country that came up with curling

I kindly disagree. There are certain arras in the US where hockey is huge! Pittsburgh, Philly, detroit, Chicago, new York, etc. If your not exposed to a successful team I could understand why uou have that opinion. Personally I live two blocks from the Florida panthers arena and hate them. I've always been a pens fan dating back to the late Eighties when Mario was acquired.
Other major leahue players seem to play more for the money rather than heart and passion for the sport like hockey players.

Actually, Hockey recieves more ticket sales and more nightly watchers than both baseball and the NFL in the United States ;)
Sadly, NASCAR is the #1 spectator sport in the US. Then basketball, hockey, football, soccer, and baseball, in that order.

I think this is where the stereotype comes from ... so typical. The only thing that matters is within the continental US ... and knock curling all you want, perhaps you even should ... but basketball and hockey were both created by canadians

Not to mention ... the most failing professional sport right now ... is Americas #1 Past time ... baseball is dying.
