Seaweed id ?

    I have had these in my tank for a while...
    I assume it is a sea weed and they are fine I am just curious as to what it it really is...
    I have looked and looked and Don't see it anywhere on the net....
    They just add a pretty pop of green ;D

    Neomeris annulata (spindleweed algae)

    It's a calcareous algae and very few fish will touch it. However, that's not really a big deal because it is RARELY invasive.

    i had those just after my tank finished cycling, they all just kinda died off a month or so later

    I found this posted...
    I don't know if it is ethical for me to show here..

    Don't worry about that picture. That is my friends tank. He's in my reef club. There are reasons why that happened and you would have to make all the EXACT SAME MISTAKES at the EXACT SAME DEGREE OF MESSING UP to end up with that situation.

    Most of the time, people lose all of their spindleweed. It's an interesting macroalgae so if you have some, just leave it be.
