HEllo and let me start by letting you know about my tank before i get into the problem. My tank is about 5/6 months old and has been doing really well Developing a lot of color and Coraline algea....It's Great. We have mostly a reef tank at the moment. Here is what is in the tank 20g High, - 1 gobie, 1 coral Bandit shrimp, 1 cleaner shrimp - Corals - xenia patch, Toad leather, kenya tree, Monapora, zoo/polips 2x, and polips x3 pods, tongue, 3x mushrooms, Sebae Anemone and newly added Prism Favia. (whew). I do water changes weekly, tested all levels and fee my coral Phyto, and brine. I have recently started adding calcium to the tank due to the levels. It has been anywhere between 400-460. All my tested levels are square on...perfect actually. I have current and a decent filter system.

The other day i came home and within a 5 hour period, my Zoo/polips were destroyed. This small frag piece i have had since the begining and watched it grow and mostly cover this rock. now there is only half of them, and they have not opened in 3 days. Very strange. Looks like somthing ate it, but i do not have those tupes of fish.

Anyways the sebae has been moving all over the place to find it's spot. It has recently went down to the sand and is looking terrible. Has a white. sticky substance all over it and has put it's face in the sand. looks like it is turning itself inside out. Not sure if this is dying or just unhappy. Should i take this out before the chmeical warfare goes on and destroys my whole tank. Not sure.....Just need some advice.

    Thanks

    Austin.

If it's emitting a slime it could be just uh...going to the bathroom. If it appears it's melting than you may have a dying nem. Pics may help identify the issue.

Well from the looks of it is not going to the bathroom. As I said I is about 1/3 the size. Looks like it's turning itself inside out. Mouth is huge an shrinking by the day. Do u pull it out righ away or do wait to see o it will come back. I will try to get some pics up during my lunch.

Thank you very much for the help!

get it out of there before it kills the rest of the tank - from what you describe its sounds like its already gone

I am runninig 150watt halide and two t5. I have about 8.5 - 9 watts per gallon. Have it on a timer and has not changed since I got it. Tempature is consitent as well 75-77 max.

I might just have go pull it out. Last thing I want is a dead tank.

    Thanks again

Ps how do you post pics.
