    Hey everybody,

So i got a sebae anemone, and its really healthy and beautiful. It was very expensive and therefore i decided to drip acclimate him. He is now in the tank, but cant attach to anything. He just floats in a corner of the tank, and wont even attach there (Its actually touching sand in that corner). I've tried to dig a hole in the sand with my hands and then tried to attach it. But it wont! I got some very fine sand, and if its because of that i dont know what to do. Please help me guys. I'm so afraid that its going to die, please help.

Just let it be. It might spend couple of days wondering around. It will attach eventually where it likes the lighting/flow best.

How big is your tank? What kind of flow? What kind of lights?

Yes, it also looked like it was attached to a rock, but it didnt. I'm a beginner to this hobby, and as long as i've been told, it looked pretty similar to that it was sitting on the rock

As already mentioned, you need to leave it alone. It will attach and find a suitable spot when it's ready. The more you mess with it, the more you stress it and put it in danger of dying on you, especially with that species. I know it's not easy-- I still recall my first nem many years ago, but you must give it time to fully acclimate itself to it's new environment.

I hope you have any circulation pumps covered so it doesnt get sucked in. If that does happen, dont try to remove it. Wait a couple hours and usually they will get themselves out.

A Sebae only belongs in an established tank, how old is your tank?

They are the hardest anemones to acclimate.

Unless your water is pristine and the tank established you should return it IMO.

    again....

best advice i can give you, and this is regardless of the species of anemone is, let it be. moving it where you want will only cause it to spend its energy (an possibly killing it if its already weakened) to move somewhere where it actually feels "happy".

this said, and assuming you are sure its a sabea anemone they are one of the, if not THE hardest anemone to keep. im not sure if this is your first attempt at keeping nems but i would strongly recomend you pick up a bubble tip, preferably green as they are way hardier.

pics will help to determine exactly its current health. if you just added it today (and i completely understand you) dont freak out it will hopefully acclimate to your system. but again dont move her to where you want let her do her thing shows knows better than you what she needs.

whats your lighting and current water parameters?

leave it alone. some picture would help to see if it really is healthy and if you go for another nem pick up a bubble tip, cheaper, hardier and to my eyes prettier

Hey, you have a youtube channel right? If you are who I think you are your tank is too young for any nem.
