Second stage of algae...

So after my cycle I got diatoms for about a week then they went away. Now I'm getting this thick green algae. It's short and in small bundles.
Any idea way it is?

 

This is normal in my experience. I have always gone from diatoms to GHA to a brief period of cyano. What is your CUC?

 

VERY wimpy. Just two blue leg hermits. I plan to get a few more hermits and a ton of snails tonight.

Is it advisable to get CUC from petco?

 

That I do not know, have never bought a CUC from petco. Get some Astraea and Turbo snails if you can.

 

I would say petco in a pinch, but past that I would order a CuC from reefcleaners. It would be on the doorstep by this time next week.

 

Alrighty. Hopefully some extra help from a cuc will help. I use rodi but my nitrate is still at 10. I'm also running purigen and dosing MB7 so that should help.
