The "Tang heaven" ones are ok; Gracilara and Ulva are common food for tangs.

The Caulerpa, though.....that's some stuff that can be dangerous for a tank if you don't know what you're getting into.

And 25 amphipods seems like it might not be worth it without something to seed the copepods that they eat.

    Seems pretty over price IMO.

    20 amphipods for $20? ROFL....

You'll save a ton of money getting your macros from reefcleaners.org. John even has pods from time to time. Or you can buy 1000 from reefs2go and I think they might even be having a buy one get one sale right now so you'd actually end up getting 2000.

Over priced crap. Can you describe your refugium please? What is your desired goal, how fast are you flowing? Is it currently in place, DSB? Blah blah blah.

With some more information we can point you in the right direction. I am a fan of various macro’s myself, but some people like to play it all safe and go with cheato….

    +1 to RM's post -- reefcleaners.org is a good place

Edit: I recall initially spending money I later realized was not necessary. Pick up some a piece of live rock at a lfs. Beat it to make your own rubble – drop in your mcro of choice and the bugs will appear. Seriously, if your not battling an immediate DT issue, let the refugium build itself. Add sand, macro(s), and rubble and you are all set. No need to get caught up with snails, shrimp, cuc’s ect….just my opinion.

right now my refugium is empty. I'm just getting ready to put water in it and get it running. Here is my setup. 90 gallon DT, 20 gallon sump, and 22 gallon refugium. The fuge will be fed by a maxi jet 400 at about 20gph, then the fuge will overflow to the sump.. Here are a few pictures. The only thing I have for the fuge is lighting input and output. I have all the Live rock for my DT but none for the fuge yet.

Yikes, you can't pump water to the fuge, overflow to the sump, then pump back to the DT.....that won't work.

The main tank drains into the sump and has a mag 9 to return to the tank The sump has a maxi 400 that feeds the fuge and then it over flows to the sump. I have talked to people here that do the same thing. And have seen it . Why won't this work?

Because that's not what I heard you say originally lol.....I just woke up when I posted before. I thought you were just pumping to the fuge, overflowing to the sump, and pumping to the DT.
